This brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentals) has joined a jetty full of fishermen in Port Aransas, Texas, on the Gulf of Mexico. I worked for a while to get this portrait of the pelican with the fishermen fading off into the fog behind it. Port Aransas is a popular vacationing spot for families, retirees and spring break students.
